Credit cards compromised at Olympic College

BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) -- At least 16 people have reported their credit cards might have been compromised at Olympic College.

The Bremerton Sun ( http://is.gd/VR6vpv ) reports 11 students and four employees on the Bremerton campus and one student at the Shelton campus told college security officers their credit card companies had notified them of suspicious activity.

College officials say they started an internal investigation a week ago. A few of the victims say their credit card numbers had been used at a Walmart in Texas.

They did not know when the credit card data may have been compromised and how and where the crime happened.

Bremerton police also are investigating.
